Police response often escalates crises while increasing the risk of harm for everyone involved, especially Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and people with disabilities who are disproportionately impacted. The C.R.I.S.E.S. Act (AB 2054) creates a culturally informed response program for people experiencing mental health crises, homelessness, intimate partner violence, and other emergencies.
On Tuesday, August 4 from 5:30pm- 7:30pm join us to text voters throughout California asking them to take action to demand Governor Newsom commit to signing the C.R.I.S.E.S. Act (AB 2054) into law. The textbank will take place over zoom, link sent out to those who RSVP.
